Yogesh Patel, M.D. has dedicated his life to the eradication of pain. Dr. Patel practices evidence based medicine and the multi-disciplinary approach to pain management, giving his patients the most options and the best care possible. He has helped many patients with difficult and advanced debilitating pain conditions. Dr. Patel is double board certified in Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Medicine from the American Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Patel is admired by his colleagues and adored by his patients. Dr. Patel trained at UCSD, one of the highest rated interventional pain fellowship programs in the country. There he trained with pioneers in the field of Pain Medicine, and developed a strong interest in patient education and prevention. At UCSD, he received outstanding acknowledgement in excellent patient care. Dr. Patel is the founder of MyPainTools, a chronic pain education and prevention program. He feels that knowledge is empowerment, and that educated patients have the best chance for a pain-free lifestyle. Along with MyPainTools and the Coastal Pain eClub, he is actively developing programs to bring support groups and community education opportunities to North County. Dr. Patel has also worked extensively with other physicians and has placed strong emphasis on developing a strong working relationship with referring physicians with the end result of providing excellent and timely patient care.
Trisha Patel, M.D. is a fellowship trained Interventional Pain Management specialist. She specializes in minimally invasive techniques for full body pain management. Her areas of interest include spinal pain, upper and lower extremity pain, chronic headaches, pelvic pain, and chronic regional pain syndrome. She has special skills in spinal and joint injections, radiofrequency ablation, and spinal cord stimulation. She enjoys reading, cooking, hiking, and spending time with her young daughter.
Mareena Miller, FNP-BC graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2012 with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and received her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2016. She previously served in the United States Army for 9 years with service time in Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom. Before joining Inland Pain Medicine, Mareena worked in an intensive care unit, using her background in emergency medicine. She currently specializes in Botox for pain and aesthetic purposes. To advance in her profession, Mareena is attending Azusa Pacific University for her Doctorate. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two boys and dog, hiking, camping, traveling, cooking, shooting guns, and discovering new cuisine.
Melika Hesseltine, COO is Inland Pain Medicine’s Vice President. Leading this organization since 2004, she has expanded Inland Pain Medicine one department at a time, personally, to where it is today. She drives execution of strategies outlined directly by the CEO and delivers results on a day to day basis. Melika maintains business performances on all four facilities. She oversees the leadership team and manages the tactical and operational side of the Corporation. She is instrumental in devolving Physicians and Employees through processes and systems. Her mission is to give the Medical Professionals the ability to improve patient outcomes. In addition, Melika serves on committees that help physicians. Mrs. Hesseltine offers a managing style that thinks outside the box. Her innovation and energy goes to creating new jobs. With her ability to transcend ideas into execution, Melika is passionate about healthcare and grateful the acquisition of knowledge it has given her.
